The Challenge
Located in Richmond’s historic Oregon Hill neighborhood, Adarra is shaped by seasonality, travel, and craft. The kitchen needed to support a refined, wood-fired menu inside an old building with limited space and structural constraints.
The added complexity of an open kitchen meant the space had to function efficiently during service while maintaining a clean, intentional aesthetic for guests.
The Approach
Victor Products worked closely with the Adarra team from the start, taking a design-first approach focused on workflow, organization, and long-term performance. Detailed CAD layouts were developed to plan equipment placement, utilities, ventilation, and clearances, all while working within the realities of the existing building.
These layouts became the foundation for coordination between the owner, kitchen staff, architect, and general contractor, helping the project move forward smoothly and with fewer surprises.
The Solution
Victor Products delivered a complete kitchen solution, providing cooking equipment, refrigeration, dishwashing, prep and storage areas, and all supporting smallwares. Special attention was given to accommodating wood-fired equipment and a solid fuel hood while keeping the open kitchen visually cohesive.
The layout was optimized to create dedicated prep and dish areas that no longer interfered with the main cooking line. Equipment selections, including a combi oven and Metro shelving, improved organization, efficiency, and flexibility while supporting the overall look of the space.
The Result
Adarra’s kitchen now performs at the level its menu demands. Workflow is smoother, space is used more effectively, and the team has the tools they need to execute consistently. The finished kitchen balances performance and aesthetics, proving that a space can look great and work even better.
