Victor’s Sweet Funnel Cake Mix was developed for a major theme park in the mid-Atlantic region over thirty years ago, and has become a standard in funnel cake fryers across the East Coast. Sweeter than other funnel cake mixes, this mix will help you make crispy, flakey funnel cake that will keep your customers coming back for more.
Serving Size: Each 5-lb bag of Victor’s Sweet Funnel Mix will make approximately 24 eight-inch funnel cakes. Each 25-lb bag makes approximately 120 eight-inch funnel cakes
Cooking Instructions:
Pour 7 cups of water into mixing bowl with 5 lbs of mix.
Mix for 15-20 seconds using the whip attachment at low speed.
Scrape the bowl.
Mix for 2 minutes at medium speed until smooth.
Heat oil to 375-385°F.
Pour batter into oil in an overlapping circular patter using a funnel with a half-inch opening.
Fry batter for 60 seconds on each side.
Tips for Best Results:
The quality of any fried product depends heavily on the condition of the frying fat and proper frying tempearture.
Use an accurate fat thermometer to ensure frying fat reaches 375-385°F.
