Victor Products was founded in 1953 by Victor Zinder. Before World War II, Victor worked for Chunk-E-Nut Products in Philadelphia. After he came back from the war he packed up his family and moved to Richmond, Virginia to start his own company. He could not afford to rent a building so he worked out of the back of a station wagon. His first real location was a rented single car garage. The company is now operated by two of his sons, Mitch and Marty, out of a 36,000 square foot facility in the Shockoe Bottom section of downtown Richmond. We also operate another location in Chesapeake, Virginia.
We sell a full line of concession equipment and supplies, everything for popcorn, caramel corn, snow cones, cotton candy, nachos, hot dogs, and corn dogs. We also manufacture Top Hat brand fountain syrups and Sundae toppings as well as Victor’s Candy Apple Magic and Dipsy Dog corn dog mix that are sold all over the country.
Around 1990 we started a new division of the company. Our customers were asking if we could get fryers, griddles, and other pieces of commercial cooking equipment. We now design and equip full commercial kitchens including, but not limited to, walk-in refrigeration, stand-alone refrigeration, mixers, griddles, fryers, slicers, convection ovens and pizza ovens. We have designed and equipped kitchens for restaurants, school cafeterias, churches, stadiums and concession trailers.
In 2013 we celebrated 60 years in business and we look forward to many more.
“I have done business with Victor Products for over 15 years. During that time, Victor Products has completed approximately ten complete kitchens for my various restaurants including design and equipment selection and installation. Additionally, there have been countless equipment upgrades that Victor has supplied solutions and equipment to accomplish those upgrades. I have used other companies for my design and equipment needs but no other company approaches every project, large or small, with complete attention to every detail including field measurements of every piece of equipment, every drain and every other rough-in. Their designs and drawings are impeccable. Most importantly, their follow-up and service after the installation is second to none. Victor Products stands behind everything they do and sell….long after their projects are complete. I would not even think of going to another company for my design and equipment needs. Service, Experience, Attention to Detail, and Follow-up; these are totally important to me and Victor Products delivers….EVERY TIME.”

I have had the pleasure to work with Victor Products designing and opening three full service restaurants over the past 12 years. Opening a restaurant is no easy task but these guys have such great attention to detail and meet all your needs. Their customer service, knowledge, installation and timing on making your project come together is second to none. Victor always goes the extra mile from the start of your project until the end. “We, too, have enjoyed the relationship with you and Victor Products. I learned a long time ago while building full-service kitchens in major hotels in Dallas, Texas the critical importance of the kitchen equipment provider in the success of the project. From all that I have heard, your company is as good as it gets. Simply put, we couldn’t do it without you. I hope we will find continued success together in the years to come. ”

“Thanks for your great work at Wood Grill Harrisonburg, VA–the kitchen and line looked wonderful on Wednesday when I got a chance to visit. W.E. was very positive about your work and approach on this important project. Jim Childs, our Director of Franchise Operations and/or Rick Henderson, our franchise field consultant will be in touch with you regarding–two new projects. One project is in West Virginia, and the other in Mississippi. We hope you are interested, but realize you may be going outside your desired geographical area. We are putting together a new restaurant project in Roanoke that we will be doing here. I need your assistance in looking at our WS Flamekist Grill plans.”
